Don’t Forget to License Your Dog for 2020

The Department of Agriculture is reminding dog owners to be sure they obtain a license for 2020. All dogs three months of age and older are required to be licensed. The fee for an annual license is $6.50, or $8.50 if the dog is not spayed or neutered.

Hickernell Honors Mount Joy Resident and Last Known Malmedy Massacre Survivor at the Capitol

Billow, a resident of the 98th Legislative District and the last known survivor of the most infamous war crime committed during WWII’s Battle of the Bulge, was honored during an auspicious ceremony on the floor of the House on the 75th anniversary of the Malmedy Massacre, said Rep. Aument, Hickernell Announce Major Flood Control Grant for Mount Joy Borough

HARRISBURG – Rep. Dave Hickernell (R-Lancaster/Dauphin) and Sen. Ryan Aument (R-Lancaster) announced that today, the Commonwealth Financing Authority (CFA) met and approved a $176,022 grant to allow Mount Joy Borough to proceed with its stormwater basin rehabilitation project to alleviate flooding within the borough.

Another Major Hickernell Bill to Help Foster Children Become Law

HARRISBURG – Rep. Dave Hickernell’s (R-Lancaster/Dauphin) Fostering Independence Through Education Waiver legislation was signed into law by the governor Friday as part of House Bill 1615. The new law will assist children in foster care with the challenges of accessing higher educational opportunities.
