Hickernell to Greet Constituents at Elizabethtown Fair
8/13/2007
State Rep. Dave Hickernell (R-Dauphin/Lancaster) will offer residents of the 98th District a chance to meet him or a member of his staff when he hosts an informational booth at the 2007 Elizabethtown Fair. The event runs Monday, August 20 through Saturday, August 26 at the Elizabethtown Fairgrounds, located off the 900 block of East High Street.

“The Elizabethtown Fair is the traditional kick off to fair season in Lancaster County," said Hickernell.  “It draws huge crowds, and I am looking forward to being part of the festivities again."

Hickernell or a staff member will be on hand to offer constituents a list of services the office can provide.  Also available will be a variety of free information about state agencies, programs and services.

The Elizabethtown Fair is a showcase of local agriculture, and much more. In addition to the livestock and agricultural exhibits and competitions, fair-goers will enjoy a variety of musical entertainment, plenty of delicious food, a children’s petting zoo, and the ever-popular carnival rides.

“The fair gives us a chance to have a face-to-face meeting with our constituents," said Hickernell. “We get a measure of the job we are doing, and can show what we can do for them."

Hickernell is a member of the House Agriculture and Rural Affairs Committee.
